The Sound Of Silence

Yet another one of the myriad poems written about my dislike for social situations and noise, hope the use of the theme again does not subtract from the poem for you.

The sound of silence

Keeps away the violence

That hard I try hide

Yet does rage inside

Rare does it become

As noise I do shun

Still waters run deep

Or so wise folk speak

So it is with me

People let me be

Least they chance to drown

In my deep set frown

Hope you enjoy, please feel free to comment.

  1. Silence is sometimes the best tool in any social situations..

  2. A command of silence is a show of true strength and knowledge.

    • One should know everything one says, yet not say everything one knows. This poem is more about people disturbing my peace, but your statement is true nontheless.
