An Ant In My Lemon Pie

A piece of nonsense poetry I wrote while talking to a friend.
.

I’m so lucky.
there was an ant in my lemon pie.
The waiter couldn’t seem to even apologize.
He just whisked it away quietlie.
The ant seemed happy with my lemon pie
And so was I
But The waiter couldn’t seem to even apologize
He just whisked it away quietlie
I wonder what happened to the ant in my lemon pie
I hope he is hap-pie
.
Hope you enjoy, please feel free to comment.

  1. As the rest of the lines ended in “I” tones, when I reread it, the first line then came out in my head sounding as as “luck-ie”

Wait… this write made me giggle — who are you and what have you done with my Rec? Just teasing, LR, I’m enjoying this glimpse of your lighter side.

    • I never thought of changing that one, I suppose I always saw it as a prelude to the actual poem.
Don’t worry, the dark side will be back soon enough, but yeah there is a (tiny) light side to me, it does occasionally shine through, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it though.
