I Know I Am Where You Are
I recently found myself in a fairly dark place and ended up asking friends who were already there for mutual help, that was when I wrote this.

I know I am where you are
But let me help you out
Step in my hand, a leg up
If you need stand on my shoulders
Use me however you need
To get yourself up
Perhaps when you’re out
Of this dark hole
You can lean down
And give me a hand up

Friends can give a hand in times of darkness but one thing I have learnt, it’s always the individual himself/herself who needs to think things through and make a decision. Friends are there to support but motivation needs to come from within, only then it will last better.
Definitely true, but we always need help, there are very few things that can actually be achieved alone. We definitely need to notice that we need to do it, but we often need to recognise the people who are there to help.
