Where Shall We Go Today

I can’t even remember what prompted this, but enjoy anyway.

Where shall we go today?
What shall be written?
What shall be said?
For a talk in a café?
Buy a young kitten?
Or stay in bed?

Only the pen will tell
As this poem takes form
All becomes clear
But first on rhymes to dwell
Over rhythms storm
To endings steer
Hope you enjoy, please feel free to comment.

  1. Really enjoyed this one. The pen can take us anywhere and have us doing anything…or nothing. A nice view of writing.

    • Looking back at it, I’m not too sure I’ll use the rhyme scheme again, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ve always thought the writer was more of an escapist than the reader, so thought I’d try put it into words.
