Time.
I set a challenge on The Escapism Project to write a poem about a rose without mentioning the words rose or flower, this was the prize for the winner.

Time is fleeting
Time is gone
Since our greeting
Time is gone
Like a river
Flowing past
With a shiver
Gone so fast
What can remain
What can stay
We start to wane
Fade to grey
Time is fleeting
Time is gone
Since our greeting
Time is gone

The Lonely Recluse.
From beginning to end this holds you in melancholy that is nearly as transient as the subject. Beautifully done.
Not much I can say to praise like that other than thank you.
The Lonely Recluse.
Smooth delivery and it kinda rhymed when I read it aloud. It feels like a poem to illustrate the richness of time, how we should treasure it else it will just pass us by!
It should rhyme, it is ABAB rhymed, I hope, it was supposed to be at least. Yeah, that was more or less the plan. Glad you enjoyed it.
