Pressed Flowers

A friend was talking about pressing flowers when I decided to write a poem about it. Just to say, I actually don’t have anything against flower pressing, this is just how the poem came out.

Gaia’s dress
Trapped in a page
Made flat
for one person’s eye
lost from the world
for a beauty
that is marred
by flatness.

Hope you enjoy, please feel free to comment.

  1. Interesting way of putting it. Usually there are folks who keeps dried flowers for a hobby. Either as a bunch or flattening it for other purposes..would like to think the flowers are happy to change into their new role.
Personally, I would go: Flowers in a bunch, limited time, soon withers, between two pages they evolve, into a lifetime of eternity.
