Timelessness

This was written about a recent visit to a mountain in Snowdonia. I love walking, and Snowdonia is perhaps my favourite place to walk, although it was bitterly cold when we were up this particular mountain.

Tiny, frozen
Above the cares of the world
Caught in a moment of timelessness
Ancient as the stones around me
Weather worn, sun baked, frost cracked
They were here before
They will be here after
Unchanging, uncaring
Caught with them
In their moment of timelessness
Until Sunset brings back breath
